RTL School of Journalism: An evening on Antisemitism
Date: 3 December 2025 | Location: CologneThis in-person session brought together journalism trainees and editorial professionals at the RTL School of Journalism to discuss antisemitism and responsible reporting in a structured and practice-oriented setting. The event featured insights from RTL News foreign correspondent Raschel Blufarb and a community perspective from Ron Dekel, President of the Jewish Student Union Germany. With more than 30 participants, the discussion addressed key dilemmas in contemporary reporting, including expectations placed on Jewish voices, implicit framing patterns, and the challenges of covering antisemitism in times of geopolitical conflict and social polarization.

EDA Panel and Community Exchange at the JSUD Shabbaton
Date: 19 December 2025 | Location: MunichAs part of the JSUD Shabbaton in Munich, this community-based panel created a space to reflect on public discourse, representation, and the pressures Jewish communities face after October 7. The Shabbaton brought together 98 participants from across Germany and beyond, with strong engagement from young community leaders and professionals. The session featured a keynote by journalist Shahrzad Eden Osterer and a panel with EDA authors, exploring the emotional and strategic challenges of public communication, including tokenization, media expectations, and the ongoing burden of “fighting a narrative” in polarized debate.

EPNA and EUJS Online Workshop: Narrative and Storytelling with Ariela Di Gioacchino
Date: 10 December 2025 | Location: OnlineThis workshop focused on the power of language, personal narrative, and strategic storytelling as tools for effective public communication. Delivered by Ariela Di Gioacchino, Policy Officer at the European Union of Jewish Students, the session supported participants in shaping messages that are both authentic and persuasive in sensitive contexts. The workshop reached 13 participants from nine European countries and combined structured input with interactive reflection, underlining that communication skills are a key resource for empowerment and resilience in contested public debates.

NOODNIK Chanukka Event: Community Communication and Narrative Space
Date: 20 December 2025 | Location: ViennaThis community event in Vienna connected cultural practice with public communication and storytelling. Organized by JöH, it combined Chanukka traditions with the presentation of journalistic and community-based texts, including readings of four NOODNIK magazine articles and discussions with authors. The event created a reflective and supportive atmosphere and demonstrated how community narrative spaces can strengthen connection, visibility, and resilience. While not a training workshop in the narrow sense, it contributed to the broader CrossLines ecosystem by reinforcing communal voice and shared meaning-making in a high-pressure period.

Mastering Media Communications for Jewish Professionals: Workshop with Amie Leibowitz
Date: 23 December 2025 | Location: OnlineThis online media training supported Jewish professionals and practitioners who engage with journalists or public audiences. Delivered by BBC journalist Amie Leibowitz and moderated by Máté Zsédely Holler, the session focused on interview preparation, message clarity, handling difficult questions, and building constructive media relationships. Reaching approximately 28 to 30 participants from Europe, the United Kingdom, and Australia, the workshop was organized in cooperation with the World Jewish Congress and promoted through its web presence and partner networks. The strong engagement confirmed the demand for practical, confidence-building formats that support community actors in navigating public communication under pressure.
