Carla Baum is a German journalist and editor based in Berlin. Born in 1989, she studied Cultural Studies and Political Science at Leuphana University of Lüneburg, where she completed her master’s degree, before attending the Axel Springer School of Journalism in Berlin. After early professional stations at taz and Die Welt, she joined ZEIT in November 2019, initially serving as Deputy Head of ZEIT Magazin Online. Since 2024, she has co-led the newly established Family section at ZEIT and ZEIT Online together with Tillmann Prüfer.
